2018 Meeting Recap

Jackson Lake Lodge  I  Grand Tetons National Park  I  Wyoming

In the midst of one of America's great natural wonders, The Grand Tetons, members and their families enjoyed the adventures that the National Park offers from hiking to rafting, fine dining and golf. The beautiful and historic Jackson Lake Lodge offered the perfect setting for learning, networking, collaboration and fun.

Dr. Brad Saunders kicked off the 2018 Scientific Program with fractures and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.  He discussed the role of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty and also covered complications and problems related to treating severe three and four-part proximal humerus fractures.  He correlated this with abnormal and normal functioning of the rotator cuff.  He further discussed the risks for fractures and not healing with traditional open reduction internal fixation and the indications for using reverse total shoulder arthroplasty on these patients.  He also discussed the positive results with reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.
